True Amplitude RTM

The input data of RTM is generated by an constant velocity model (v = 2000m/s) with three horizontal reflectors (z=2000m, 3000m, 4000m). The wavelet is selected as 15Hz Ricker wavelet.

The left figures show two CIGs (common image gather) for the center location of the image, one is in the shot domain(upper) and one is in the angle domain(lower). The right figures depict the amplitude information of the three reflectors in the corresponding ones on the left. As this example illustrates, swRTM is able to accurately restore the amplitude information, no matter where the shots locate, or what the reflection angles are.
